This 3km(ish) loop is flat and non-technical, half through a private wooded trail and half though an open meadow and around the vineyard.

Big D’s Backyard Ultra and Trail Race

This is a backyard ultra. We will offer a 7km X-C course that needs to be completed every hour. At the start of every hour a legendary gong will be drummed. This will signal the start of a fresh hour and lap. Those who have not completed their lap unfortunately this will mark the end of the journey. This will allow athletes to continue to strive towards completing the race and course.

The Fat Ass Trail Run

The Fat Ass as we lovingly call it began 19 years ago with 23 participants who didn't quite know what they had gotten themselves into and who fell in love with running the trails of the Batawa area. Over the years the Fat Ass has grown to be one of the biggest trail races in Ontario, and despite the size of it, we maintain the inclusive atmosphere so everyone feels welcome; fast, slow, young, old, runners and walkers.

Haliburton Forest Trail Race

2024 will mark the 31th annual occurrence of the event which saw its inaugural race take place in 1993. The race has grown steadily since its inception and once again we will offer your choice of 12K, 26K, 50K, 50 mile, and of course, our signature event, the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler.

There is a certain primal beauty found along the trails at Haliburton Forest and the absolute best way to experience it is by foot as you run on the rugged trails. Heavily forested, hilly and filled with lakes and streams it represents nature at it's best.
