Hosted at Kawartha Nordic athletes are treated to an area that is rarely seen outside of the winter months. On terrain that is mostly grass on a nice wide track with hills, flats, is a course you can run for time or for completion. This is a must for everyone. Our course is cut just days prior thanks to the staff at Kawartha Nordic. We offer washrooms, hydration centers, food afterwards, and our event is fully chip timed.

The Fat Ass Trail Run

The Fat Ass as we lovingly call it began 19 years ago with 23 participants who didn't quite know what they had gotten themselves into and who fell in love with running the trails of the Batawa area. Over the years the Fat Ass has grown to be one of the biggest trail races in Ontario, and despite the size of it, we maintain the inclusive atmosphere so everyone feels welcome; fast, slow, young, old, runners and walkers.
